How it works
1. The Hook
Using easy mnemonics,
each grape variety is assigned an identity, or is personified as a unique setting or character — your “hook”.

2. The Action
That hook, has an inherently connected action which naturally drives the story forward. Through a short, entertaining narrative, this character interacts with other memorable elements, each unlocking characteristics of the grape variety.
"A racecar driving too fast... Suddenly it has to swerve, and hits a tree... The driver is severely hurt."
3. That's it !
Each element of that story effortlessly paints the whole picture in your mind. And that picture tells you all everything you need to know about that wine!

With our done-for-you solution, to get a solid understanding and memorization of the 30 most popular grape varieties, it only takes about 30min a week for 3 weeks. After that, we recommend continuing with the program to revisit the stories, which would be another 15min revision once a month.
Yes! This is super effective under exam pressure because each grape variety is so uniquely stored in your memory. There's no chance for confusion or doubt, the answer will just feel so obvious.... Also, when in doubt; having a quick look at all the pictures before the exam is much, much more efficient than looking at the list of words you'd make in your excel file.
Stories are actually better for complex topics! And we're not talking about complex topics are better for longer, more complex stories. NOT AT ALL! This system is specifically built in such a way that with the same short story, you notice more and more details over time. So instead of a longer story, it turns the same story into a clearer picture: How does the racecar look? why did it have an accident? what is the injury? etc. A big benefit of our system is that all the information is already integrated in the story. As it gets more complex, we don't add extra steps to the story, we just describe it better.
Because of how stories are easier to remember, it's actually better than rote memorization! Also, the done-for-you option already includes more information that is needed later on in WSET3 and WSET4. So you're learning more than you think!
